Work Experience:

What you’ll do at Aditya:
Role Purpose
Responsible for leading end-to-end product design and development activities for automotive motor products with focus on Brushed Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) Motors and related motor technologies. The role requires strong project leadership capability to manage multiple customer programs, lead cross-functional engineering activities, and drive product development from concept to production.
The position will play a key leadership role within the Engineering – Motor & Electronics team and will work closely with process development, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and customer teams to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and timely product launches.
The role also requires managing a larger engineering team, mentoring engineers, driving accountability, and ensuring effective coordination across technical functions and customer interfaces.
Technical Responsibilities
• Strong knowledge in development of DC motors for automobile applications.
• Design and development of Brushed DC Permanent Magnet Motors.
• PMDC motor electrical and mechanical design development.
• Expertise in Product Design and New Product Development.
• Strong understanding of DVPs, DFMEA, and APQP procedures.
• Apply engineering principles and development methodologies specific to motor industries.
• Utilize CATIA software for product design and engineering activities.
• Support optimization of motor performance, reliability, durability, and manufacturability.
• Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving activities with customers and internal teams.
• Exposure to Permanent Magnet DC Motors and BLDC Motors.
Here’s what we are looking for:
Project Leadership & Customer Management
• Lead multiple automotive product development projects from concept to production.
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers during development and project execution stages.
• Interact regularly with customers for technical discussions, design reviews, development updates, validation activities, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with customer engineering teams and other technical centres for smooth execution of projects.
• Lead project planning, milestone tracking, engineering deliverables, and risk management activities.
• Drive cross-functional coordination between design, process engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and testing teams.
• Ensure timely closure of customer concerns, engineering actions, and validation requirements.
• Support customer audits, technical reviews, and program management activities.
Product Design & Development
• Lead complete product design and development activities for automotive motor products.
• Develop and design PMDC motors and related automotive motor solutions.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, customer requirements, and DVPs.
• Drive new product development (NPD) activities from concept to production.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems.
• Support design validation, testing, prototyping, and engineering documentation activities.
• Apply DFMEA, APQP, and structured engineering methodologies during product development.
• Work closely with process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and product feasibility.
• Participate in design reviews and support DFM/DFA activities.
• Support prototype builds, pilot production, and engineering validation activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.
